The SQ-90 Tormek Square is a precision tool for checking squareness on square edge tools and for verifying the trueness of the grindstone. It also serves as a reliable reference when setting up jigs and aligning sharpening operations, while providing a simple angle check. A handy little zinc square, to keep you square!
Overview
Why SQ-90 Tormek Square?
- Check that the edge on chisels and other square edge tools is exactly 90°.
- Check the grindstone for trueness using the straight reference edge.
- Draw a straight reference line across the grinding wheel, useful for setting up the SVD-186 R Gouge Jig or the SE-77 Square Edge Jig.
- Measure the approximate edge angle of your tools using the five integrated V-shaped grooves at 25°, 30°, 35°, 40°, and 45°.
